El Salvador, due to its size and people leaving, only has a population of about 6,071,774 and over a million of them live in the town of El Salvador. Most citizens receive about 12 years of education and a literacy rate of 81.1%, which are all the people above the age of 15. Their birth rate is 17.75 births for every 1,000 and their immigration rate is -8.95 for every 1,000 people, which means about half of all kids born in El Salvador immigrate into another country.  They also have a life expectancy of about 73.44 years due to many risks of disease. In El Salvador about 0.8% of adults have AIDS/HIV, which means about 34,000 people are diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Also, there is a very high risk of infectious diseases, such as bacterial diarrhea, hepatitis A, typhoid fever, dengue fever, and leptospirosis.
